About Our Honeymoon

Welcome everyone! We have decided to go to Israel to learn from August 2009 to July 2010 for our honeymoon! We will be attending a Yeshiva (seminary) in Jerusalem, and will be taking at least 2 semesters of intensive classes learning to translate Hebrew and studying in depth various religious texts. From Gemara to Chumash to Navi, we'll be learning it all! While in Israel we would like to visit family and friends in other parts of the country so we've added gifts to different sites that help cover travel and food expenses. Masada Ruins & Dead Sea

Built by King Herod between 37-31 BCE, the palace had a full bath house, lookout points and a store room that held years worth of grain and imported delicacies. Masada has a legendary status in Israeli and Jewish hearts. Visit Gilboa Mountain

We will go to Beit Alpha and see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue from the Byzantine period, and then continue to Gan Hashlosha, (Sachne) where we can dip our feet in the water springs located at the foot of the Gilboa Mountain, the famous mountain on which King Saul was killed in the battle against the Philistines.
